The city of Barranquilla has several beautiful parks and gardens that you can visit to have more contact with nature.
Among them we find the famous Salamanca Island Natural Park a perfect place to spend the day; an island considered as “an important area for the conservation of birds”, declared as Ramsar Site with world recognition and Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO.

Within the city you can find other parks such as Washington Park.

With more than 50 animals of 140 species from the different continents, the Barranquilla Zoo opens its doors to clients so they can get to know the interesting world of animals. Most of these belong to the Colombian fauna.
The park gives you the possibility to take guided tours and educational activities to live a greater experience.

Church of the 17th century, located in the historical center of the city. This neo-gothic style temple is today one of the most important symbols of Barranquilla city. This church gives its name to the square of San Nicolás.

Anthropological and Ethnological Museum of Barranquilla

Considered as National Cultural Heritage, the Museum opened its doors in 1940 and is located in the Fine Arts Faculty of the Atlantic University. The Museum has a series of collections of indigenous pieces.
